"Love seeketh not itself to please, nor for itself hath any care, but for another gives its ease, and builds a Heaven in Hell's despair." - William Blake Greg Housel and April Housel (was Fredman) October 5, 2002

Scott H. Groomsman (Brother of the Groom) Scott and I have been opposites for the better part of 27 years, or…so people think!!! When we were younger, oh so many years ago, I would spend a day playing outside in the mud of our pond, hiking through the woods, picking berries or even climbing trees. Basically, I just couldn't stand to be inside. Scott, on the other hand, could be found inside curled up with a good book or watching a movie but either way, you knew that our cat Chesie could always be found on his lap. Now, there is something that you should probably know about me. When I was younger, I proclaimed it my job to annoy my big brother as much as humanly possible! And although we got into the occasional brotherly tiff, it is honestly a miracle that he was understanding of my hyperactivity and let me live all those years ago. For this, I am very thankful because I know that there were times that I didn't deserve his understanding. However, one thing Scott never knew was how much I admired him. If anyone had taken the time to notice, I actually followed him in almost every aspect of life. He got a job at Camp Wanake and I soon followed. He went to Otterbein College and I soon followed. He became a Camp Director and you will never guess what happened, I followed! Granted, I should also tell you that each step along the way Scott was there for me to give me advice AND keep me out of trouble. Now, if you take a deeper look at two young men who were assumed opposites you may find two people with a deep inner faith, a shared love for two great parents and a life goal to help children become great. It's not money or fame but only the knowledge that their faith, family, friends and love of children are being strengthened everyday by their actions. One of my greatest influences in the establishment of these values was my brother Scott. I spent all my life watching and copying my brother’s actions and by doing so, he has made me who I am today and for that I say…Thank You Scott!
