Amanda and Jody
It was December 25th 1998 and my first
christmas with his family. After all the gifts had been
opened I sat there with nothing from him, thinking to
myself, "how could he not give me anything after all the
things that I had gotten him."
Then all of a sudden my
mother in-law-to-be said that we forgot about someone -
and Jody, my fiance, walked out of his grandmother's
bedroom with a little heart shaped velvet box. He sat
me down and told me how much he loved me and with all
the things that we had been through that and he wanted
to spend the rest of his life with me. As I sat there
shocked and stunned I began to shake and some how
managed to say "yes".
The funny part about the engagement
was that we had to do the proposal 3 times before his
brother got it on tape. We have been engaged 3 years
now and are getting married September 29,2001.
